Days & Hours: 37 hours on average, includes 2 weekends per month

Oscar is a very smart, active and chatty 7-year-old with a great sense of humour. He loves singing, drama, trampolines and swimming in his hot tub. He also has a great interest in hoovers and hand dryers! Oscar loves and thrives from doing lots of different activities, you will need to have plenty of imagination and energy to run around with him.
Oscar has Autism and PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance). When anxious or upset, Oscar can resort to obstructive and oppositional behaviour, he can hit, scratch and pull hair. You’ll need be fit, strong and resilient to ensure Oscar's safety and manage his challenging behaviour. He is verbal and although does not always speak in full sentences, he can very clearly express his likes and dislikes.
You will support Oscar during his morning and after-school routine; assisting with personal care, meal preparation, playing and having lots fun. During the school holidays you will organise activities and outings. While Oscar is at school you will be required to help with some PA and housekeeping duties. You’ll need a good understanding of autism and extensive experience with children with challenging behaviour.
