Lizzie is an intelligent, capable and creative young lady who has a love for singing, animals and arts and crafts. Lizzie 10, has ASD and requires support during the school day helping to build and promote independence and to enable a successful transition to Seniors.

Lizzie attends a mainstream school KS2 in South East London, she is very bright and manages her school work well however she needs support with her social skills, problem solving and oragnisation skills, emotional regulation and self-help skills.

This job will suit a candidate who has a student-centered learning approach, can understand when to offer support and when to take a step back and is experienced assisting with emotional and behavioral support. We are looking for a candidate who will take time to understand Lizzie and the difficulties she faces day to day and who can implement strategies and techniques to enable her to understand and manage her emotions. School can feel overwhelming at times for Lizzie so we need a calm candidate who can offer reassurance and some hugs! You will be confident working in conjunction with the school SENCO.
