£550.00 gross per week.  Experienced and emotionally sensitive Learning Support Assistant for 12 year old Lizzie.

Location: Greenwich, SE3
Nearest Train / Tube Station: Westcomb Park / Maze hill / North Greenwich Tube / Greenwhich DLR
Wage / Salary: £550.00 gross per week (term time) £14.00 gross per hour for additional hours in school holidays.
Driver required? Not Required
Essential Experience: Supporting a child with emotional regulation and providing a safe adult, understanding girls with ASD
Start Date: September 2019
Days & Hours: Term-time Monday to Friday 8am - 4.10pm.  Must be available to attend meetings with Lizzie’s support team.

Lizzie is a highly intelligent, capable and creative young lady who attends a mainstream school. Lizzie 12, has ASD and requires emotional support during the day and a calm supportive adult in case she is getting overwhelmed.  Senior school is a big change and she would benefit from a trusted adult  - like in primary school.
Lizzie is very bright and manages her lessons independently - so this role is about supporting her at all other times around lessons.   Mainly emotional support as well as oragnisation skills, emotional regulation and self-help skills.
We are looking for a candidate who will take time to understand Lizzie and the difficulties she faces day to day and who listen to her and can implement strategies and techniques to enable her to understand and manage her emotions. School can feel overwhelming at times for Lizzie so we need a calm candidate who can offer reassurance and some hugs!
You will be confident working in conjunction with the school staff and acting as a first contact between home and teaching staff, and provide Daily summary emails.
This job will suit a candidate who has a student-centred approach, can understand when to offer support and when to take a step back and is experienced assisting with emotional and behavioral support.
Lizzie is well known to Snap and we have recently put together a small but busy support team including a behavioural therapist and an SEN Nanny to provide support outside of school life.
This is a fantastic position and truly rewarding role to support a wonderful young lady with lots of potential.

Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
