About this client/child:
Our client Jack is 8 years old, he is very social, engaging and an engaging personality! He loves spending time with his family, music and playing games. Jack has cerebral palsy and learning difficulties; he requires support to meet all his care needs. Jack is a wheelchair user and requires support with personal care, mobility, and communication. He has a feeding tube in situ for his nutrition and medication, however, he also enjoys pureed food. He has a great care team in place and is seeking a Support Worker who can join on a casual / bank basis.

Overview of role:
As Jack’s Support Worker you will provide 1:1 support, either on a day or waking night shift with all aspects of his care plan. Your role will include implementing Jack’s therapy programmes, assist with self-help skills, feeding, personal care, administering medication, repositioning, manual handling, supporting him to participate in activities and access the world around him. You will receive full training from all his appointed therapists. £14.00 weekdays, £16.00 weekends, Gross per Hour. As a Bank Support Worker, you will assist Jack’s team to cover ad-hoc shifts, sickness and staff holidays.

Who this job would suit:
An experienced Support Worker, who is confident supporting a young client with complex care and medical needs on a 1:1 basis. You will have some availability for both day and night shifts. To join this care team, you must be a confident driver, capable of driving an adapted automatic vehicle. Non-smoker/vaper is also essential.
