Essential: Experience supporting a young client with complex care needs, and a non-smoker/vaper
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Contracted 24 hours per week. 12 hour shifts, days and nights: 9.00am - 9.00pm, 9.00pm - 9.00am and afterschool: 3.00pm – 9.00pm. Shifts provided 1 month in advance, will include working a mixture of full days, waking nights and after school shifts.

About this client/child:
Our client Sean is 10 years old and lives at home with his family in Barham. He loves to be involved in activities, spending time with his family and listening to music. Sean has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, he has a PEG in situ and communicates with sounds and facial expression, he attends a specialist school. Sean has complex care and medical needs; is a wheelchair user and he is totally dependent on others to meet his care needs.

Overview of role:
This is a great hands-on role, you will have the opportunity to work 1:1 with Sean, implement therapies, assist with self-help skill, activities, and personal care duties. As a Support Worker, you will work a mixture of shifts (days and nights) and care for Sean at home and out in the community. Sean requires 24-hour support so you will work as part of a home care team, promoting his independence, providing the highest standard of care and support ensuring all his needs are met.
