Full-time Care Team Leader 
Location: Seven Kings, IG3
Wage: Weekdays £17.00 | Weekends £19.00 | Gross per Hour 
Driver Essential? Yes
Essential: Experienced Team Leader, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) experience and working within a family setting, clean driving license, non-smoker/vaper.
Days & Hours: 41 hours per week (including 5 hours for admin tasks) 12-hour shifts.

About this client/child:
Andrew is 31 years old; transitioned from a rehabilitation centre to his own fully adapted home earlier this year and requires an experienced Team Leader to manage his care team. Andrew sustained an Acquired Brain Injury and as a result, requires 24/7 support. He is a delightful and calm young man who has made good progress with his rehabilitation.  Andrew self-propels his manual wheelchair and can predominantly mobilises inside with a gutter frame. Andrew’s short-term memory is limited, and he can find it difficult to process information. Andrew is a massive Manchester United Supporter, enjoys gaming, watching movies, and has become a keen Boccia player over the past few years.

Overview of role:
The Team Leader will be responsible for managing and supervising a care team in collaboration with his case management team. Typical duties such as rota management, updating care plans and risk assessments, training, supervisions, team meetings, etc. The Team Leader will work hands-on with Andrew; this will involve working days and nights. Andrew requires support to live an independent life, assistance with personal care, rehabilitation, and therapeutic input. He will require Waking Night support initially, however, we are hopeful that this will transition to a sleeping night in the future.

Shifts are 12 hours, starting at 8am or 8pm. Rates: £17.00 per hour Weekdays & £19.00 per hour Weekends. Sleep-in Night: £131.28 Weeknights £139.29 Weekend Nights. All figures quoted in Gross. 

Who this job would suit:
An experienced Team Leader with excellent communication skills; it is essential for Andrew to receive clear and concise information due to his ABI. It is also essential that you are confident driving an adapted, automatic vehicle and have a clean driving license. The successful candidate will either have a DBS registered on the Update Service or willing to obtain a new certificate for this role.
