Laura is a very happy and lively 4 year old who loves music, dancing, playing hide and seek. She shares a very close bond with her older sister Chloe who is 7. Laura has Angelman Syndrome and shows signs of delayed development, but is in great health. She is able to self-feed and absolutely adores her food! Laura is starting to walk short distances unaided, otherwise a helping hand and her pushchair are used for outings. She currently uses an iPad for assistive communication which she loves.
This position will entail solo and shared care with dad and the part-time live-in nanny. You will support both Laura and Chloe with their morning routine, school pick up by cab and the evening routine. Some help with light household chores and regular cooking for the family is required. When supporting Laura, lots of encouragement is key especially when it comes to her language development; the family are keen to promote Laura’s own independence as much as possible.
This job will suit someone who has good experience in the SEN field or a student or recent graduate who is looking to further their experience in the SEN world. The perfect candidate will be loving, energetic, smiley and enthusiastic. This is a great opportunity to join a loving family home who will provide you with great accommodation and full board if Live-in. Please note that the family can also offer the role as live-out option but you must live within 15 minutes from the family.
Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
