Days & Hours: Tuesday & Wednesday mornings, 7.00am to 9.30am, Thursday evening, 6.00pm to 11.00pm & alternate weekends 9.00am to 7.00pm. Additional hours available during school holidays

Lucas is a bright, sociable and happy 5-year-old boy who requires lots of love and attention. Lucas loves to cook in his toy kitchen, story time, going to the playground and swimming! Lucas acquired a brain injury due to a difficult birth and presents with Dystonic Cerebral Palsy.
Lucas can vocalise a few small words such as ‘Mama’ and ‘Dada’, otherwise he uses a communication book, some sign language and is soon to start using a PODD book. He has just started to commando crawl on a crawling track. Lucas needs help with all aspects of personal care, he is currently potty training. A key part of the SEN Nanny role will be to support Lucas with all play and therapy activities, including supporting the family with Lucas’ physio exercises and organising appointments. Lucas is fed orally and training will be provided on how to feed him.
This job will suit someone who is fun and has lots of energy - Lucas will certainly keep you on your toes! Lucas needs a SEN Nanny who will motivate and encourage him to reach his full potential. There are many great opportunities with this job. As well as working with a very supportive family and case manager, who will provide full training and inductions, Lucas is also at the at an age where you can make a huge impact on his development and help with his therapy input. There are also travel opportunities with the family.
