Driver Essential? Yes
Essential: Previous experience supporting a client with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Non-smoker, swimmer and comfortable around animals.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Average of 40 hours a week (The family would consider two part time roles so please enquire)
Family/Client Pets: 1 dog and 2 cats

About this client/child:
Our client Joe is 11 years old; he is a cheeky chap with a great big smile and is full of mischief. Joe has cerebral palsy, epilepsy and complex care and medical needs including a PEG. He is a wheelchair user and is gaining confidence with his verbal language using Eye-Gaze and AAC to support his communication. Joe requires support 24/7, he lives at home with his Mummy and Daddy and is supported by a fantastic care team which is expanding.

Overview of role:
Joe is dependent on others to meet all his care needs, the Support Worker will provide 1:1 support assisting with all his daily needs, following his care plan and implementing therapy programmes. Joe requires suctioning at times, and chest physio regularly. He receives his medication via PEG and is given emergency medication for his epilepsy when required. Joe is currently living in Cosham however will be relocating near to Alton when the new family home has been fully adapted in August. The role offers an average of 40 hours per week, rota will be given 2 weeks in advance, the shift times are:

Monday to Friday: 7.00am to 10.00am | 2.00pm to 8.00pm
Nights: 8.00pm to 7.00am
Weekends: 7.00am to 2.00pm | 2.00pm to 8.00pm

Rates of Pay: £11.00 Weekdays| £15.00 Waking Nights | £8.72 Sleeping Nights | Gross per Hour
