About this client/child:
Our client J is 9 years old and lives at home in Camberley with Mum, Dad, and his two younger sisters. He is a happy and determined young chap and loves attending cubs, going to school, and playing with his siblings. J has cerebral palsy, associated learning, communication, and physical disabilities, is a wheelchair user and has epilepsy; he requires support to meet all of his care needs. J has a PEG for nutrition, fluids, and medications. J requires 2:1 support and you will work alongside a team member whilst on shift. 

Overview of role:
As J’s Carer, you will work within the family home and the local community, following all areas of his care plan, ensuring his independence is continually promoted, and work alongside his therapy team to deliver therapy programmes such as physiotherapy, OT, and SALT. Using a flexible and adaptable approach, you will encourage and facilitate J to participate in age-related fun and educational activities. This role will involve manual handling, assistance with personal care, engagement in play and education, light household duties, and meal prep. We are looking for two Carers to join the team and share the hours advertised below.
Shifts:
Monday to Friday: 7.00am to 9.00am
Monday: 3.30pm to 9.00pm
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 3.30pm to 7.30pm / 8.00pm

Who this job would suit:
A positive, flexible, and adaptable Carer with previous experience supporting a young client with complex care and medical needs. ideally within a family setting. For this role, it is essential that you are confident driving an adapted, automatic vehicle.
