Days & Hours:  30 hours term time and 40 hours holidays

About this client/child:
Mark, 14,  is an active and engaging young man who has great sense of humour, loves all sports and music. His favourite sport is football and he is a Portugal and Liverpool supporter! He plays wheelchair tennis, enjoys swimming and has a huge passion for life. Mark has cerebral palsy and epilepsy which is well controlled with daily medication. Mark can walk independently for short distances but uses a walker and wheelchair at times.

Overview of role:
As his Support Worker, you will support Mark during his morning and afterschool routine. In the afternoons you will pick up Mark from the school, assisting with his personal care, homework and therapy programmes. Mark is taking part in Duke of Edinburgh award and you will have the opportunity to support him to achieve this.  Mark has a younger brother aged 9, and you will build a trusting and engaging relations with both children. The working hours are: Term time: Monday – Friday  7.30am to 9.30am then 3.00pm to 7pm, Alternate Saturdays . School holidays:9.00am to 5.00pm. When the schools are closed due to lockdown the hours are similar to school holidays.  Certain flexibility is possible for the right candidate. The hourly rate is £15.00 gross per hour weekdays, £17.00 gross per hour weekends.
