About this client/child:
Emma is 14 years old; she is an exceptionally bright young lady who enjoys listening to audio books and keeping up with her friends on social media. Emma is physically disabled and is reliant on others to meet all her care needs, she is a wheelchair user (electric) and has a diagnosis of Ataxia. Emma lives at home with her Mum, Dad and 3 brothers.
Overview of role:
Due to Covid-19 and Emma’s Dad recovering from major surgery, Emma and her siblings will not be returning to school until the end of September at the earliest. Mum is working full-time from home and therefore requires a live-in SEN Nanny to assist Emma with her daily routine, schoolwork, and all personal care needs. As Dad is particularly vulnerable at this time, we do need an SEN Nanny who is very careful and vigilant during the Covid-19 pandemic even as the Government ease restrictions.
Who this job would suit:
Cheerful, energetic and passionate support worker / SEN Nanny who can commit to a minimum of 3 months live in support. Mum and Dad will also consider a live-out candidate who lives locally and has their own car.
