Up to £16.00 Gross per Hour. Support Worker to provide 1:1 care and support to a lovely little chap with complex care needs. Permanent part-time or bank contracts available.

 

 

 

 

Title: Part-time Support Worker
Location: Tadworth, KT20
Nearest Train / Tube Station: Tadworth
Wage / Salary: £14.00 weekdays | £16.00 Weekends | Gross per Hour
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty, adapted vehicle, automatic drive
Essential: Experience supporting young clients with complex care needs, Swimmer, non smoker / non vaper
Desirable: PEG Feeding/blended diet, Administering medication, experience working within a family environment, supporting a non-verbal client
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Term time: Monday - Friday 2.30pm to 8.00pm School Holidays: Monday to Friday: 7.00am to 7.00pm and Weekends: 7.00am to 7.00pm. Part-time contracts and bank hours available.

Our client Raul is 6 years old, he sustained a brain injury at birth and as a result, he has four limb dystonic cerebral palsy, visual impairment, learning disabilities and gastric reflux. Raul has complex care needs, he receives all medication, liquids and blended via his gastrostomy PEG, he is non-verbal however communicates very well using sounds and facial expressions and is just starting to use eye gaze. Raul is a wheelchair user and is dependent on others to meet all his care needs.

Raul lives at home with his parents and younger sister and he attends a specialist school. In this role, you’ll assist with afterschool and weekend support. We are seeking a proactive, outgoing and confident Support Worker to support Raul with all his care needs, therapy programmes, use of eye gaze and to promote his independence.

This is a fantastic position working with a lovely little boy, for this Support Worker role you must be a confident swimmer as Raul enjoys swimming and needs support to access this activity.
