Up to £27,000.00 Gross per Annum. Full-time position is available for a fun, active and reliable Support Worker to join a wonderful care team providing support for 17-year-old Sara who has cerebral palsy.

Wage / Salary: £12.80 gross per hour | £27,000.00 Gross per Annum (based on 40 hours) Time and a half on bank holidays.
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty, manual
Essential Experience: Supporting a client with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, confident swimmer (hydrotherapy) and non-smoker
Desirable Experience: Eye Gaze technology, Vagal Nerve Stimulation, Gastrostomy and Jejunal feeding. Training provided for all Sara’s care needs
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: On average 40 hours per week. Day shifts: 7.15am – 4.45pm and the night shift: 9.30pm – 7.30am

Sara 17 is a music and story fanatic who enjoys the company of her peers, spending quality time with her sister, pamper sessions or chilling out in her hydrotherapy pool or sensory garden. Sara has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, receives her nutrition and liquids via gastro-jejunal tube and has a VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation) in situ. Sara requires support with all aspects of her daily life.
This fantastic position will involve supporting Sara at home, at school and in the community with communication, accessing leisure and educational activities, implementing therapies, personal care, assisting on family holidays and promoting her happiness and independence, which is paramount for Sara and her family. Sara requires support during the day and night, this is a full-time position and will require flexibility to work a blended rota.
This job will suit a confident, creative and caring, female* assistant; someone who is passionate about supporting people with complex needs. The family is offering a wide range of training and support such as Eye Gaze, pump feeding, electronic notes and VNS.
