Up to £14.50 Gross per Hour. Recruiting Full Care Team!  Full-time positions and bank contracts available to support a para-athlete in the Cambridge Area. 

 

 

 

 

Title: Full-time Support Worker / Personal Assistant | St Neots, PE19
Location: Stonley, St Neots PE19
Nearest Train Station: St Neots
Wage / Salary: £12.50 weekdays | £14.50 weekends Gross per hour | £70.00 per night.  
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty adapted vehicle, ability to drive both a manual and automatic car as required.

Essential: Excellent written and verbal English. Must be educated to minimum degree level or equivalent.
Start Date: ASAP. Interviews held on the Friday 23rd of November 2018
Days & Hours: 48 or 72 hours per week including sleep in shifts. Rolling rota and shifts start at 7:00am
Family Pets: Yes, Lizard who lives in a vivarium.

Peter is 19 and a physically disabled para-athlete competing in the England team and currently finishing his A Levels. He plans to start University in September 2019 and is recruiting a full care team who will provide round the clock support and assist with each aspect of his daily life. Support required at Peter’s family home, school, out in the community and at training events/competitions.

As Peter’s Personal Assistant (PA), you’ll promote independence, facilitate and enable Peter to live his life as his wishes; supporting him with therapy/ sports programmes, on-court sport assistance, training, study, socialising, interpreting, travelling and tending to all his care needs. Whilst on shift you will work a mixture of days and sleeping nights. Peter rarely requires assistance at night however needs to be able to call on his PA if he does.

For this role you’ll need excellent communication skills and you must speak English clearly as Peter requires support to communicate if others do not understood him and with tasks at school as required. It is essential that you are interested in sports, energetic and have the ability to keep up with Peter’s busy lifestyle. You must be a non-smoker, confident driver and swimmer.
