Days & Hours: 12 hour shifts day and night: 9.00am - 9.00pm, 9.00pm - 9.00am and afterschool: 3.00pm – 9.00pm. Shifts provided 1 month in advance, will include working a mixture of full days, waking nights and afterschool shifts.

About this client/child:
Our client Sean is 10 years old, he lives at home with his family in Barham and attends a specialist school. Sean has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, he has a PEG in situ and communicates with sounds and facial expression. Sean has complex care and medical needs, is a wheelchair user and he is totally dependent on others to meet his care needs. Sean loves to be involved in activities, spending time with his family and listening to music.
Overview of role:
In this position you’ll work a mixture of shifts (days and nights) and support Sean at home and out in the community. Sean requires 24 hour support so you’ll work as part of a home care team, continually promoting his independence, providing the highest standard of care and support ensuring all Sean’s needs are being met.
Who this job would suit:
A friendly, bubbly and caring female* support worker with previous experience caring for a young client with complex care and medical needs. As this is a full-time contract it is ideal for the support worker to have full availability and flexibility.
