Full Time Waking Night Support Worker

Location: Woking, GU22

Wage / Salary: Week: £12.00 gross per hour | Weekends: £14.00 gross per hour | Bank Holidays: £24.00 gross per hour
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty, an adapted VW van
Essential Experience: Supporting a child with additional needs during waking nights
Desired Experience: Supporting children with acute brain injury
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: *Rota - 3 nights week one and 4 nights week two. Weekdays 9.30pm to 8.00am and weekends / school holidays 8.00pm to 8.00am. There will be a mixture of sleeping and waking nights. (There can be flexibility with number of nights for the right person, please enquire).

Josh, 9, is an engaging and gregarious little chap who loves being outdoors, going to the park, taking his lovely dog for a walk and most of all spending time with his family. Josh has an acquired brain injury and we are looking for a creative, energetic and positive full time night support worker to provide support during the nights. He is a very capable little boy who has huge potential and we are confident that with the right team in place he will flourish. You will also have the opportunity to travel abroad with the family with a paid travel time.

This role will involve supporting Josh 1:1 with his night time routines and most importantly ensuring his safety and providing a high standard of care and support. *You will work Sunday, Monday and Tuesday one week and an additional Wednesday night the second week. The support worker will use every opportunity to make Josh comfortable and aid him in using his bottle overnight. This job will suit someone who is confident, reliable and sensitive to the wider needs of the family. You should have a real passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
