Full Time Waking Night Support Worker
 

Location: Woking, GU22
Nearest Train StationWorplesdon
Wage / Salary: Week: £12.00 gross per hour | Weekends: £14.00 gross per hour | Bank Holidays: £24.00 gross per hour
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty, an adapted VW van
Essential Experience: Supporting a child or adult with additional needs during nights
Desired Experience: Supporting children with acquired brain injury
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Hours available are: Weekdays 9.30pm to 8.00am and weekends / school holidays 8.00pm to 8.00am. There will be a mixture of sleep in and waking nights. Please enquire - there can be flexibility for the right person.

Josh, 9, is an engaging and gregarious individual who loves being outdoors, going to the park, taking his lovely dog for a walk and most of all spending time with his family. Josh has an acquired brain injury and we are looking for a creative, energetic and positive support workers to provide 2:1 support during the nights. He is a very capable boy who has huge potential and we are confident that with the right team in place he will continue to flourish.

Night Carers may also have the opportunity to travel abroad whilst working with client and family.

This role will involve supporting Josh with his night time routines and most importantly ensuring his safety and providing a high standard of care and support. Josh requires 2:1 support at nights, one waking, one sleeping (to be ‘on call’ as required). The support workers will use every opportunity to make Josh comfortable and aid him in using his bottle overnight. This job will suit someone who is confident, reliable and sensitive to the wider needs of the family. You should have a real passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with this individual in a role which offers excellent rates of pay, pension contributions, paid annual leave of 5.6 weeks, flexibility and training. You may also have opportunity to travel with family.
