We are delighted to be working in association with Louise Denzel Case Management Ltd on this position. They will be doing all the recruitment, including shortlisting and interviews.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Alan, 47, who sustained a head injury several years ago. No previous experience with adults with an Acquired Brain Injury is required as on-going supervision and training will be given. Alan uses a wheelchair but can walk unaided. He is however quite unsteady so can have falls; the support worker however is not required to do any manual handling, as Alan is able to right himself unsupported. Alan has Dysarthria so his speech is slurred, however he communicates his needs and opinions, well.

What is required for this role is resourcefulness and sensibility; knowing when to step up and step down when required, respecting Alan’s privacy and dignity and promoting his independence, autonomy and equality.  Being able to organise yourself based on the case management plan and/ or activities to be undertaken, possessing excellent communication skills and a willingness to undertake new learning.

If you feel you can help support Alan, we would love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a short covering email detailing why this job is of interest and the hours and days you are available to janet@snapcare.co.uk
