Days & Hours: : Monday and Tuesday 8.00 am to 11.00 & 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm and Wednesday to Friday 9.00 am to 7.00 pm (38 hour working; additional 2 hour break on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s) Overtime will be available.
Francesca is a happy and active 8 year old who enjoys playing on her cordian, anything food related and playing on her trampoline. She also enjoys spending time with her sister Tara and little brother Robert. Francesca has cerebral palsy, cortical visual impairment, communication and learning difficulties. Her epilepsy is much less frequent, but she does occasionally have absent seizures.
Francesca has made astounding progress over the past two years which has been closely linked to her intensive home schooled programme. Part of your role will involve assisting with the various therapists and continuing to implement the strategies once the session has been completed. Francesca has come on leaps and bounds with her Makaton signing and this is something that should be encouraged. You will mainly be supporting Francesca, however the position will also include helping to support the whole family.
This role will suit somebody who is energetic, fun and someone who has a natural approach with children. You will be really encouraged to become part of the family and your support will be really valued. Ideally they would like the nanny to go away with them on trips and holidays abroad, so flexibility to do this is ideal.
This is a great opportunity for someone to further their own knowledge and work closely with an array of therapists. In doing so you will help Francesca continue to flourish and work towards her next learning goals.
