Essential experience: Supporting children with complex medical needs, sensory impairments, PEG feeding, understanding of Turkish Cypriot culture would be preferable

Days & Hours: Term time: Monday – Friday 7.00am to 9.00am and 4.00pm-8.00pm, Saturdays 9.00am-6.00pm, Opportunity to work more hours during school holidays
Sally is an adorable cheeky 6 year old. She lives with her mum, dad, grandparents and sister Ellie, 10. Sally has a chromosomal abnormality leading to delayed development, learning disabilities and impaired vision. Sally is unable to walk, is fed via Peg button. She is non-verbal but can express her likes and dislikes.
You will be supervising with the morning and after-school routine, the planning of fun activities for both children, implementing Sally’s therapy programmes into her daily routine and helping with light housework duties. We are seeking someone who can hit the ground running and pitch in as and when needed, whether it is to support Sally’s activities or supervise Ellie’s homework.
This job will suit a lively, fun and confident support worker who can engage Sally with creative play, organise trips and activities at the weekends and be sensitive to the privacy needs of the family.
