Tim aged 16 loves music and is very sensory based. He has a winning smile and enjoys 1:1 attention, including the odd head massage! Tim has Tuberous Sclerosis, focal epilepsy and no speech. He is doubly incontinent and has low testosterone, so is very small for his age. He is also autistic. Tim doesn’t sign so being able to interpret his needs is important.

Tim is mobile and follows a very structured routine. *He goes to school daily leaving at 8.40am and arriving home at 3.30pm-ish. Whilst Tim is at school there will be some errands and light housekeeping. Once Tim is home you will be fully involved in his evening routine, more information will be provided by the family. You’ll work 5 days a week, this will include two weekends per month when two days off in the week will be provided. *Please be advised that depending on the outcome of an educational tribunal this could be a 3 or 4 month temporary role.

Tim responds well to someone who is patient and kind so these traits are key. You should also be a self-starter and able to offer flexibility as family life is always fluid. The family live in a rural location, 7 miles from Cirencester, so being a driver is essential.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive family network whilst also aiding Tim’s development. The family provide an adjacent 2 bedroom / bathroom cottage, but at times when the parents are away you would be required to sleep in the house. The cottage is furnished and provided rent free.

Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
