Up to £26,260.00 gross per annum. Fabulous opportunity for active and upbeat support workers to work with John, 10 who has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. 3+ positions available.

 

 

 

 

Full Care Team| Hertfordshire / Essex, CM22
Location: Bishops Stortford, CM22
Nearest Train / Tube Station:Elsenham 
Hourly Rate: £13.00 gross per hour weekday | £15.00 gross per hour weekend.

Essential Experience: Previous experience supporting clients with cerebral palsy, excellent communication skills, PEG feeding
Start Date:ASAP 
Days & Hours:37 hours per week minimum for full-time roles. Mixture of shifts available, including before and after school, weekends, nights and school holidays providing 24/7 care. 

We are seeking a full care team for John aged 10. He loves to be kept busy with sports such as basketball and to spend time in the great outdoors camping in his tent! He is an active, fun and engaging child who also loves to read. John has cerebral palsy, epilepsy and is his nutrition and medication administered via a PEG, although he takes some food orally. 

This position will involve supporting John through the daily routine including personal care (bathing and toileting), administering medication and feeds, keeping John’s areas tidy and engaging with him throughout your time together. You will also implement his therapies into the daily routine in a creative, educational and playful way!

The ideal candidates will be fun, caring and organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to hit the ground running. John is exploring lots of new therapies so this is a great opportunity for learning. This role involves working alongside mum and John’s team. 

This role offer a great opportunity to work with this fantastic young boy in his home and continue his development. 
You will be required to accompany the family on their holidays, get you passport ready! The family are open to shifts being split between team members - so please get in touch if you are interested in any of the above hours. You must have experience with children with similar needs, but excellent training opportunities.
