Days & Hours: Term time: Monday to Friday: 3.00pm to 8.00pm, Monday to Sunday (nights): 8.00pm to 8.00am and Weekend days: 8.00am to 8.00pm School Holidays: Monday – Sunday: 8.00am to 8.00pm. Based on a monthly rota, full-time typically 40 hours a week, part-time, 24 hours a week or more.

Simon is a delightful boy aged 7 who enjoys calming, sensory activities and swimming. Simon has complex needs, including cerebral palsy and epilepsy and tires easily. Simon is fed and receives medication, via a gastrostomy and requires help with all activities of daily living.
You will work as part of Simon’s team to support him and his family. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a treating therapy team to provide the best care and enable Simon to progress with his rehabilitation goals. This role will suit support workers who can be flexible in their working pattern to ensure Simon’s needs are met within the team. Simon lives in the Barham area of Ipswich and applicants will ideally live within a 5-mile radius.
While some experience with children with disabilities is required, there will be excellent training opportunities with this job, including Epilepsy management, medicine administration, manual handling, hoists, pump feed, gastrostomy and Basic Life Support.
