Jake, 17, lives at home with his parents, three siblings and 3 family dogs! Jake has complex physical and neurological needs and requires constant assistance with all aspects of personal and medical care.
This job will involve taking Jake out for different activities and trips, always with another support worker. When at home you will support Jake with his personal care and administer his medication via PEG. Experience with this is an advantage, but training and support will be given. The position will require the support worker to use a hoist.
This job will suit a caring, flexible and pro-active support worker who has previously worked in a care environment. You must be a team player, as Jake has a small but established team working with him already. A sense of humour is vital and you must also be considerate to the family’s needs and privacy when working in their home. Due to Jake’s communication difficulties, you must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Great opportunity for a flexible support worker to join an experienced team and help maximise Jake’s independence. Training can be provided in this role. 5.6 weeks annual leave per year and £20 per week food allowance offered. To be considered for this wonderful role please apply today!
