£13.00 to £15.00 gross per hour. Team of support workers required for an engaging 10 year old with Cerebral Palsy.


Location: Chigwell, IG7

Wage / Salary: Week: £13.00 gross per hour Weekend: £15.00 gross per hour

Days & Hours: We are looking to establish a full care team, various consistent hours available to include after school, evening, weekend, holidays and waking nights. Please see below*

Ahana is a bright, engaging and determined 10 year old who values being as independent as possible. She is very inquisitive, smart and loves to be active. Some of her interests include supercars, astronomy and learning about animals. Ahana has Cerebral Palsy with four limb dystonia and requires 2:1 support with all of her care needs. She is cognitively bright and able and does not have any challenging behaviour.

All of the roles will include elements of supporting Ahana in meeting her personal care needs, as well as social inclusion type activities and light house duties to support in keeping Ahana’s spaces in the home clean and tidy. During weekend shifts there will be additional outings and more time spent with family and friends. 

The after school shift would include the evening routine - personal care, brushing teeth, bathing, dressing for bed and stretching regimes. The waking night shift will be responsible for placing Ahana in her sleep system and managing this throughout the night. She will need regular encouragement to stay in her sleep system. They will also follow her morning routine before school.

*We are looking for a team of people to support Ahana as follows: after school 3.15 pm to 10.15 pm, at weekends and school holidays 9.00 am to 9.00pm, these hours can be divided. Also waking nights staff 10.00 pm to 9.00 am.

This job will suit someone who is motivated, a fast learner and someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously as Ahana has a fun sense of humour! There will be the opportunity to spend time with therapists and further your own knowledge as well as playing a key role in furthering Ahana’s personal development.
