Up to £14.00 Gross per hour. Funny, kind and caring teenager with cerebral palsy seeking additional member of care team based in Surrey!  

Title: Female* Part-time Paediatric Support Worker | Reigate, RH2
Location: Reigate, RH2
Nearest Train Station: Reigate
Wage / Salary: Gross per hour: £12.00 weekdays, £14.00 weekends and Starting at £96.00 per night shift
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty, adapted vehicle, automatic drive
Essential: Care experience supporting a child / young person
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Mondays 4.15pm to 7.00pm, then on-call night to 7.00am. Saturdays: 8.30am to 8.30pm. Plus Two additional weekdays 8.00am to 4.00pm during school holidays.
Accommodation: Carers own bedroom, bathroom and Kitchenette attached to Lea’s bedroom available for on-call nights.

Fantastic part-time position to support a 13-year-old with cerebral palsy. Lea is a wheelchair user and non-verbal. She uses gestures and body language to support her communication. Lea is dependent on others to meet all her care needs.

This position will involve supporting Lea to help maintain and develop her independence. You’ll provide support and assistance with all personal care duties, manual handling, following therapy programmes and arranging days / trips out. You will facilitate and enable Lea to enjoy activities of interest and provide opportunities for her to explore new hobbies. During the night, Lea might wake up and need some support. Facilities are provided for you to sleep; however, you’ll need be able to respond if Lea requires assistance during the night.

You will have a positive attitude and be able to offer encouragement and motivation to ensure Lea is reaching her full potential. This is a great opportunity to join an established team and gain experience working with specialist rehabilitation equipment. Additional hours available to cover annual leave.
