Wage / Salary: £11.00 - £13.00 gross per hour

Essential: Supporting children or young adults with physical disabilities and learning difficulties
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Term time 4.30pm – 6.00pm two or three times per week. School holidays 10 – 20 flexible hours per week

Lily, 13, is a charming and engaging young lady/ she has mild to moderate Diplegic Cerebral Palsy and as a result has some physical and additional learning and educational needs. Lily is mobile, however she fatigues quickly and gets painful legs when walking longer distances outdoors. She lives at home with her supportive family.

We are looking for a friendly and motivated female* buddy / support worker to assist her with building her independence and confidence. You will accompany Lily on a variety of activities. This may include visits to the swimming pool, cinema and supporting her to access her local community.

You must be able to take direction and guidance from the team as well as be comfortable to work with Lily on your own and provide feedback from sessions to help monitor Lily’s progress. This role will also involve implementing therapies in Lily’s daily routine.

This position is suitable for a king, caring and enthusiastic buddy / support worker with a passion for supporting children with additional needs and promoting independence. Training will be provided.
