As a waking night carer, your role will be to monitor Aisha throughout the night to ensure she is safe and comfortable. You’ll work in an adjoining room with a monitor and make regular checks. During this time, you’ll keep occupied to be alert and of course awake. This may include ironing some of Aisha’s clothes, updating her records and doing your own studying.

Night shifts are generally 7.00pm to 7.00am. Some shorter shifts from 7.00pm to 10.00pm are also required when 2 carers are needed for manual handling. Willingness to occasionally cover colleague’s shifts will be appreciated and ensure Aisha’s care needs are met.
