Role
We are seeking a family support worker for our client who is a 5 year old girl with cerebral palsy. The successful applicant needs to have a caring nature, enjoy making a difference to a child with disabilities and be sensitive to the family’s culture and Muslim faith. As personal care will be involved, this post is only open to female applicants*.
Duties include supporting the little girl in term time, including helping her get ready for school, taking her to and collecting her from school and providing a stimulating environment after school, at weekends and during school holidays. All assistive equipment and training will be provided.
Essential requirement
- Previous Care experience dealing with vulnerable children or young adults
- Sensitive to the family's culture and Muslim faith
- Good interpersonal skills required, specifically to meet the child's sensitive needs and care, in-line with her Muslim faith
- Enhanced DBS check will be required
- Working in a smoke free environment
- Administrating medication
- Driver with clean driving license and access to own vehicle
