Job Title: Female Family Support Worker
Location: London E1
Wage / Salary: £13.00 per hour Mon-Fri, £15.00 per hour weekends.
Driver required? Essential          
Use of a car? Will need own car (Mileage Paid)
Essential Experience: Experience with children with physical disabilities

Days and Hours: 37.5 hours per week: Term-time: Monday to Friday, 6.45am to 9.15am, then 3.00pm to 7.00pm. Saturdays 9.00am to 2.00pm. School holidays: shift times may change

Role

We are seeking a family support worker for our client who is a 5 year old girl with cerebral palsy. The successful applicant needs to have a caring nature, enjoy making a difference to a child with disabilities and be sensitive to the family’s culture and Muslim faith. As personal care will be involved, this post is only open to female applicants*.

Duties include supporting the little girl in term time, including helping her get ready for school, taking her to and collecting her from school and providing a stimulating environment after school, at weekends and during school holidays. All assistive equipment and training will be provided.

Essential requirement

  • Previous Care experience dealing with vulnerable children or young adults
  • Sensitive to the family's culture and Muslim faith
  • Good interpersonal skills required, specifically to meet the child's sensitive needs and care, in-line with her Muslim faith
  • Enhanced DBS check will be required
  • Working in a smoke free environment
  • Administrating medication
  • Driver with clean driving license and access to own vehicle
