Essential: At least 1 A level, ideally educated to degree level, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of personal care (training provided)
Desired: Knowledge of maths, interest in science, experience with people with disabilities

Days & Hours: Based on 37.5 hours a week rota, includes some weekends and bank holidays

Thomas 24 is a bright young man who leads an active and positive life. He is currently studying Astronomy and Planetary Science at home with the OU. Thomas has a physical disability and needs a dynamic, responsible, empathetic individual to join his small support team.
The role is based in London and abroad, including stays of several months in Paxos, Greece. It includes supporting Thomas with his daily care needs, including personal care, supporting his physical and mental well-being, assisting with activities and social support. Thomas communicates using an AAC device and you will provide specialist communications to facilitate social communication in a range of settings. Full training is provided in personal care and specialized communication.
This job will suit someone who is outgoing, energetic, with a great sense of humour. Someone who will relish the opportunity to support Thomas to lead the life he wishes to and be happy to make a long-term commitment to facilitate this. You’ll need to be flexible and happy to work a range of hours including weekends and bank holidays on occasions.
