Title:Care Team Leader
Location: Bishops Stortford, CM22

Annual salary: Up to £39,319.00 gross per annum
Driver required? Essential

Essential Experience: Supporting children with physical disabilities, team leading experience
Desirable experience: Medication administration and PEG feeding
Start Date: ASAP 
Days & Hours: 38 hours per week on average

About this client/child:
Tom 12, is a sociable and active young man who just started a secondary school. He enjoys creating stories, being outdoors and having fun. Tom has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, is a wheelchair user and requires 2:1 support. He is on a blended diet which is administered via a PEG.  Tom is non-verbal but can communicate effectively via Eye Gaze system which he has been using for the last few years. 

Overview of role:
As Care Team Leader, you will be responsible supporting Tom with his daily routine, including personal care, therapy, learning and having lots of fun. Tom lives in the countryside and loves being outdoors so good walking boots are needed! You will be comfortable engaging in games, going for walks, helping Tom to put his story ideas on paper and think of new age-appropriate activities.You will be responsible for the general team leading duties and managing the support team under the direction of the case management company. Working hours are 38 hours per week, based on mixture of afternoon, weekend and sleeping night shifts. £17.00 - £19.00 gross per hour depending on experience. Night shifts £103.00+ gross per night. 

Who this job would suit:
This exciting position will suit a proactive, empathetic Team Leader with a ‘can do’ attitude; with plenty of experience of supporting clients in a home setting. You will be confident to motivate and supervise other team members and work alongside them, as well as Tom’s mother and take sole charge. You will have a friendly, but also professional approach and understand the aspects and demands of working within a private family setting.
