About this client/child:
Aaron is 10 years old and lives at home with his Mummy, Daddy and younger brother and sister. He has cerebral palsy, complex medical needs and is a wheelchair user. Aaron requires support to meet all his care needs. Aaron loves to chat and likes to know what everyone is doing, he loves sensory activities and playing games with his siblings. He is a pleasure to work with and has a team of carers already in place, but we are looking to expand his team.
Overview of role:
In this position, you will provide 1:1 support for Aaron and tend to all his care needs, including assisting with all aspects of personal care and hygiene. The role includes implementing therapies, administering medication, replenishing/monitoring supplies, documenting and logging accurate information, providing written handovers to the other members of the support team, and carrying out household duties relating to Aaron. You will monitor Aaron’s health needs, paying close attention to respiratory changes or swallowing issues. This is a part-time role and you will join an established care team and be available to work a mixture of day and night shifts.
Shifts available:
(3-afternoon 4.00pm - 8.00pm) shifts, 1 waking night 9.30pm - 8.30am and 1 weekend day per week 8.30am - 5.00pm)
