Care Team Leader | Hertfordshire / Essex, CM22
Location: Bishops Stortford, CM22
Nearest Train: Elsenham 
Annual salary: Up to £36,556.00 gross per annum, £17.00  -£19.00 gross per hour, £75.00 gross per on call night shift
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty
Essential Experience: Supporting children with physical disabilities, team leading experience
Start Date: ASAP 
Days & Hours: 37 hours per week, based on mixture of shifts available, including before and after school, weekends, nights and school holidays providing 24/7 care.

About this client/child:
Tom 11, is a bright and sociable boy with great sense of humour and passion for creating stories. He loves music, sport, being outdoors and chilling in his swing. Tom attends a mainstream school and is cognitively very able. Tom has cerebral palsy, is a wheelchair user and all his food is administered via a PEG. Tom is non-verbal and his main form of communication is through the MyTobii Eye-Gaze system which he has been using for the last few years. 

Overview of role:
In this role you will support Tom through his daytime routines, before and after school and over weekends and holidays. This includes therapy, learning, leisure, play and socialising. You will need to support Tom's communication and will be trained to programme vocabulary onto his AAC devices. You will be responsible for the general team leading duties and managing the support team under the direction of the case management company.

This exciting position will suit a proactive, empathetic and level-headed Team leader with a ‘can do’ attitude; someone who will build a trusting and engaging relationship with Tom. You will be happy to play football and help put all Tom’s story ideas on paper! You will be a team player and have the ability to work alongside mum and other team members, as well as taking sole charge when required.
