Up to £17.00 gross per hour. Fun, energetic and committed Care Team Leader to support a charming 10 year old with Cerebral palsy.

Location:
 Bishops Stortford, CM22
Nearest Train:Elsenham 
Hourly Rate: £17.00 gross per hour daily rate, night rate  £99.00 weekdays, £112.00 weekends, gross per shift (Changes to Waking Night rate of £17.00  if you are needed for 3 or more times per night, for periods of 30 minutes or more)
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car?On duty
Desirable Experience: Cerebral Palsy, PEG feeding and epilepsy, nonverbal children, Team leading experience
Start Date:ASAP 
Days & Hours: Mixture of shifts available, including before and after school, weekends, nights and school holidays providing 24/7 care.

Ben aged 10, loves to be kept busy with games and sports like basketball or to spend time outdoors in a tent! Ben is an active, fun and engaging child who also loves to read. Ben has cerebral palsy, epilepsy and is administered nutrition and medication via peg.

 

In this role you will support Ben through his daytime routines, before and after school and over weekends and holidays. This includes therapy, learning, leisure, play and socialising. Ben is non-verbal and uses a range of communication methods and aids. You will need to support Ben's communication and will be trained to programme vocabulary on his devices. You will be responsible for the general team leading duties and managing the support team under the direction of the case management company.

 

This role will suit sensitive, energetic, outgoing and reliable Team leader with a real passion for supporting children with additional needs. In this role there is lots to learn. Whilst supporting and encouraging Ben to have a fulfilling time and reach full potential you will also have the opportunity to broaden your experience in supporting with therapies and using a speech device.
