We are delighted to be working in association with a case management company on this position. They will be carrying all recruitment once candidate CVs have been forwarded.

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and caring Team Leader to support James a charming young lad with cerebral palsy.  James, 10, is a happy and loving young man with a real presence about him. He experiences severe dystonia that affects his movements and has a PEG tube which is how he takes his meals, hydration and medications. James uses a wheelchair and is assisted during transfers with hoists and slings. James sometimes experiences painful reflux from his feeding tube, so managing his condition and being empathetic to his needs is an essential requirement.

James attends a special needs school where he receives therapy interventions and is learning new skills every day. As well as the therapeutic input received at school James has a team of skilled therapists who visit him in the home.

James is looking for a kind and sensitive waking night carer to join his established team and provide 1:1 support during the night. James requires assistance with repositioning, administering his medication via Peg and undertaking all of his personal care. This position also includes supporting James with his morning routine, getting ready for a busy day at school.

This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is interested in engaging with and having a positive impact on James’ life. There is great scope for broadening your experience and the opportunity to take ownership of the role.
