The play charity based in the London Borough of Camden was founded by a group of parents and play work professionals with the aim of providing high quality play and childcare services in the area. They offer a wide range of services for children aged 2-18, with differing needs and abilities, from all backgrounds. They enjoy strong links within the local community and employ a highly experienced, expert staff team.
As a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, your primary responsibilities will be supporting children and young people with disabilities who display behaviours which may be considered challenging. While providing positive activities in the community, you will develop strategies and techniques to help to address those behaviours and improve their quality of life and those around them. This will involve working in partnership with parents and other professionals.
This role will suit someone who is patient, empathetic with a child centred attitude. This would be an ideal position for Support Workers currently working in schools as the hours are after-school, weekends and during school holidays. There will be flexibility in the number of sessions available pending on what you are able to commit to on a regular basis. *The number of hours will typically be 6 hours per week (2 x after-school sessions or 1 day over the weekend). Permanent contracts are available.
