Bella aged 27 has an outgoing personality, she is friendly and has a passion for hairdressing. She enjoys going to the gym, socialising, going out on day trips, eating out and taking holidays. Bella has an Acquired Brain Injury but is fully mobile with no physical needs. Bella’s main difficulties are around impulsivity, short-term memory, planning, decision-making, problem-solving and money management, therefore she benefits from having somebody with her to check in with. Too much information delivered at once can be confusing for Bella.

Bella lives in her annex attached to the family home, she has a younger brother and her Mum who live in the main house.

She will require the Support Worker to provide her with guidance and prompts throughout the day. Bella would also benefit from someone who can help her to plan her weekly timetable and to explore new activities with. She hopes to start her Level 2 in Hairdressing this September at college, which she will need ongoing support with. There are times when you will have the opportunity to work closely with therapists/clinicians to promote treatment plans.

This job will suit someone who is a good communicator and very sociable. An interest in beauty, hair and make-up, fitness and going to the gym would be a bonus. You should also be available to accompany Bella on holiday’s abroad when required (with prior notice).

This is a great opportunity to support a young outgoing lady with her day to day adventures whilst also promoting and encouraging her independence. To apply for this position please send your CV to Rachael at Snap.

*Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for a female worker to work with our client.
