£2,116.00 net per month. Are you living in Dubai? We have a wonderful part-time opportunity for a caring, proactive and experienced Female Buddy / Support Worker for 2 brothers who are autistic, in central Dubai!

 

 

 

 

 


Title: Female Buddy /Support Worker| Dubai
Location: Dubai

Wage: £2,116.00 net per month

Driver required? Not Required

Essential Experience: Working with children with autism, complex behavioural needs and speech delay

Start Date: ASAP

Days & Hours: Friday, Saturday 10.00am – 7.00 pm, 3 afternoons per week 4.00pm – 7.00pm, 30 hours on average per week

Accommodation: Not applicable, this is a daily position for someone already living in Dubai

 

 

Khalid (13) and Zayed (12) are active and lively boys who enjoy horse riding, music, going swimming and trips to the mall. They both boys are autistic and have limited verbal communication, and while they can express his needs, likes and dislikes, they need encouragement to use language more effectively. They attend a specialist school which they really enjoy. 
 

We are looking for an experienced and confident *Female Buddy/ Support worker who will focus on improving the boys self-help and functional skills. You will be already based in Dubai and have previous experience supporting children or teenagers with autism. Working alongside Khalid’s and Zayed’s parents and their nannies, you will implement a therapy programme into their daily routine, support them with their studies and promote their independence, functional skills, and language development. Your role will be to assist the boys after school and at the weekends, supporting (prompting) with personal care, mealtimes, playing sport and accessing activities. 


The main goal for this role is to help the brothers to take part in everyday life as independently as possible, improve their social and emotional skills and promote their self-care.
