Days & Hours: Saturday 10.00am to 8.00pm and 2 sleeping nights per week from 9.00pm to 7.00am 

About this client/child:
Nina, 21, is a bundle of energy, bubbly and a social butterfly. Always on the go, Nina loves getting out and about, she will keep you on your toes! Nina has an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), learning difficulties and diabetes insipidus. Her power chair helps her to get around. Nina requires assistance with all aspect of her daily routine. Nina is at the centre of a loving family; Mum, Dad, younger sister and brother – this is a fast paced, busy household; it really is all hands on deck!

 

Overview of role:
As her support worker, you will assist Nina with each daily task which will include personal care, promoting independence, planning activities, implementing therapies and monitoring nutrition and fluid intake – the fluid intake is extremely important due to her diabetes insipidus. In the evening you ensure that Nina is comfortable in bed and assist her with the morning routine when she wakes up.  The weekend hourly rate is £14.00 gross. Working hours:  Saturday 10am to 8pm, bank hours available (weekday rates are £13.00 gross per hour) and 2 sleeping nights per week from 9.00pm to 7.00am (£89.10 per shift) to be worked flexibly on a rolling rota
