Support Worker
Location: Hove, BN3
Wage: £13.00 Weekdays | £15.00 Weekends Gross per Hour
Driver required? Essential, Automatic, car on duty
Essential: Experience supporting a young client with additional needs
Days & Hours: Minimum 16 hours per week. 
Family/Client Pets: Yes, 2 cats.

About this client/child:
Our lovely client Conor is 6 years old; he lives at home with his Mummy, Daddy, and twin sister. Conor has cerebral palsy which affects all four limbs and uses a wheelchair and standing frame to support his mobility. Conor is a vibrant, outgoing, chatty, and intelligent young chap who enjoys adventures, horse riding, swimming, and baking. Conor is a social butterfly; he makes friends everywhere he goes! He strives for his independence and he loves to learn; he is thriving at his local mainstream school.

Overview of role:
As a Support Worker, you will provide practical hands-on support enabling Conor to access activities at home and in the community. You will support Conor in all areas related to his care plan, therapy programmes, learning, and assist with personal care tasks, transfers, and meal prep. You will continually promote Conor’s self-help and independence skills, enabling and empowering him to reach and exceed all his personal goals and targets.

Shifts available, please get in touch with your availability: 

Monday to Friday: Term time: 7.00am – 9.00am | 3.20pm – 8.00pm. School Holidays and Weekends: 8.00am – 8.00pm

Who this job would suit:
This role will be great for a fun, creative, energetic Support Worker who works on their own initiative. You must be able to muck in as and when needed as this is a busy household! Being caring, reliable, and proactive is essential as well as being a confident driver with a full clean license.
