About this client/child:
Snap have a fantastic opportunity for a temporary nanny to work within a loving family home whilst their long-term Nanny has surgery. Tom aged 6 can be quite the charmer, he enjoys music, being read to, and has a soft spot for chocolate buttons! His older brother Elliot is a cheeky and adventurous 8-year-old who will keep you on your toes.

Tom has a heart condition called Long QT syndrome. Although this is a lifelong condition it is under control using beta blockers and a pacemaker, so it does not significantly impact him on a daily basis. In addition to this Tom has profound bilateral hearing loss for which he uses cochlear implants. Tom does have a movement disorder making his mobility and speech severely restricted. With the help of a large team of doctors, physiotherapists, conductors, OTs and speech and language therapists, he continues to make great progress.

Overview of role:
You will play an active role in all of Tom’s appointments, attending them with mum or on your own if mum has a prior appointment. Elliott attends a prep school and Tom is at a Conductive Education school. The daily schedule will be discussed in the morning, but most of your role will be focused on Tom. You will also spend time with Elliott and pick him up from school occasionally. Part of your role will involve nursery duties relating to the boys and batch cooking.

Who this job would suit:
You should have a warm and caring nature, a confident demeanor, a sense of playfulness, but be consistent and firm with Elliott when needed. You also need to be comfortable working alongside mum at times. A non-smoker is essential, and a swimmer would be a bonus.

What’s great about this job:
You will have the pleasure of spending time with two gorgeous boys and work within a very friendly family home.
