This family are looking for a confident *Female SEN Nanny to support their two lovely girls, Grace Aged 5 and Isla aged 6. Both girls are full of energy and particularly enjoy sport and arts and crafts. Grace was diagnosed in April with Childhood Absence Epilepsy and was having over 100 seizures a day. Emotionally this has affected both girls, Isla has been particularly sensitive and has felt left out. Grace has been on medication for over a month now which has controlled the seizures, however this has led her to have stomach aches and she can become quite irritable and easily frustrated. Grace has missed some school so will need help with her development, in particular support with phonics/reading and basic math.
The role includes picking the girls up from school at 3.00pm. The hour before at home is to organise, sort their things, prep dinner and activities. You’ll take the girls to after school activities, play dates, help with reading and homework, dinner time (home cooked healthy meals), bath, story and bed time. The family have a driver in London who helps with pick-ups and activities, but a driver would be preferable for travel or when the family go to their house in the country.
This job will suit someone who is very loving and nurturing but also resilient enough to handle the children’s strong personalities who will sometimes compete for attention. The right candidate should be creative, enjoy reading, be confident at preparing health meals and enjoy swimming. You will ideally have an education focus as this will be a key area of support. The family really value discipline, manners and respect, the ideal SEN Nanny would have similar values. The family travel for most of the school holidays so you must be comfortable to travel with the family.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity please send your CV to Rachael at Snap.
*Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for a female worker to work with our client.
