Up to £16.00 Gross per Hour. Casual / Bank Support Worker position available on a paediatric care team in New Malden, KT3.

Essential: Experience supporting a client with additional needs, waking night experience, non-smoker / non-vaper

About this client/child:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and experienced team supporting a happy and sweet 8-year-old with bags of personality! Jack has an excellent team in place that provides round the clock care and support. Jack has cerebral palsy and learning difficulties; he requires support to meet all of his care needs. Jack is a wheelchair user and requires support with personal care, mobility, and communication. He has a feeding tube in situ, for his nutrition and medication, however, he also enjoys pureed food.  

Overview of the role:
Jack requires 1:1 support during the night and during the day. During daytime shifts your duties will include implementing his therapy guidelines, feeding and interacting with Jack, attending to his personal care needs and supporting him to enjoy leisure activities including trips out in the community. You will receive full training from all of his appointed therapists. Throughout your night shift, you will observe Jack, tending to all his needs as required. General duties include; assisting with personal care, repositioning, administering medication, following his care plan and light household duties.
