Days & Hours: Two shifts per week: 8.00pm – 8.00am (Nights available: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

About this client/child:
Tom is 6 years old and he has cerebral palsy. He loves music, creative activities and spending time with his family and friends. Tom is totally dependent on others to meet all his care needs. He is a wheelchair user and is learning how to use Eye Gaze to support his communication; he is also able to express himself through body language and sounds.
Overview of role:
In this position you will support Tom will all aspects of his care including, personal care, feeding, administering medication, and following a therapy / rehabilitation programme (ABR therapy). The position involves getting Tom ready for bed, settling him in for a good night’s sleep and remaining alert and tending to his needs. Whilst monitoring Tom during the night you will also complete duties such as maintaining equipment and nursery duties. In the morning you will help Tom get ready for school / the day ahead, assist with the morning routine and implement his ABR therapy.

A confident, caring and experienced waking night carer who can commit to two waking night shifts per week on a long-term basis. This is a permanent contract.
