About this client/child:
Nabeela is 12 years old, she lives at home with her parents and 3 siblings and recently started at a specialist secondary school which she is enjoying very much! Nabeela loves craft activities, colouring, going out for meals, playing on her iPad and swimming. She is a very social girl and a great sense of humour.  Nebeela sustained an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) with associated cerebral palsy and as a result has difficulty with her mobility, weakness in her upper limbs, wears orthotics on lower limbs and has a visual impairment. Nebeela is very capable with her communication and gross motor skills, she uses frames to support her mobility and a manual wheelchair for longer distances.

Overview of role:
As Care Team Leader you will lead and motivate a team of support workers and provide hands-on care to ensure the highest quality of care and support is provided in all areas of the care plan. Typical Care Team Leader duties include organising rotas, team meetings, training, supervisions, updating care plans, liaising with parents, case manager and MDT and diary management etc. You will ensure Nebeela is receiving the input required to reach her full potential and become as independent as possible. This role is permanent offering 20 hours per week, admin hours included. The hourly rate is £17.00 weekdays, and £18.00 weekends, gross per hour.

A motivated, and robust Care Team Leader with previous experience leading a care team and working with children with a learning disability and behavioural needs. A confident driver with your own car. (Mileage paid).

You will have the opportunity to lead a great support team, implement new strategies, work alongside experienced therapists and still have the 1:1 input and provide hands-on support to Nabeela; this strikes a great balance between a lead and support worker position.
