Ronnie and Tom are 8 and live in South West London with their mum and dad. The two boys are twins, 8 years old and currently attend a mainstream primary school. Both boys have ASC diagnoses. They are bright, and intelligent and have good speech, and love to be kept busy with an engaging and structured routine.

Ronnie loves to be outdoors, he regularly goes on long walks, and he loves to get out to the playground and have fun. Tom is bright and engaging,  a huge Disney fan – he also loves animals, jigsaws and books. Both boys attend a mainstream primary school with full time 1:1 support. They have followed a VB (Verbal Behaviour) school & home programme since they were very young. The boys also have a part time nanny working during the week - and this existing team can always help with support and integration for new people. The boys are doing well with their therapies, but as with all children there can be challenging behaviour, and a calm, compassionate and consistent approach is the best way to support the boys.

Both boys thrive when busy, and a structured, organised and engaging routine really helps them to enjoy their time at home.  Swimming, trips to the park, walks in the local wetlands and special days out to Chessington World of Adventures are all favourites. Their new SN Nanny / Manny will be proactive and confident when organising engaging and constructive days out. The boys are delighted to use London’s public transport to get around.

This role is ideal for someone with ASC experience, looking for alternate weekend work. A knowledge of VB Therapy would also be helpful, but not essential. There will be extra/ad hoc child minding hours available once the new SN nanny / manny is settled. There is a fantastic support structure on offer to the boys new Nanny / Manny. Ideas are swapped and strategies and routines are in place which can be explained by those who have tried and tested them!

Please forward all enquiries to Jim who has met the boys and their warm and welcoming family.
