About this client/child: 
Skyler (11 months), is a sweet little girl who enjoys spending time in the garden. She is very determined and loves to practice her exercises such as tummy time, rolling and sitting up. Skyler was born prematurely, she has symptoms of cerebral palsy but hasn’t been officially diagnosed yet. She has difficulty swallowing and needs help with secretions and oxygen management. Skyler is prone to frequent desaturation and bradycardia and she is fed through an NJ tube, via a milk pump.  

Overview of role:
We are looking for 2 experienced nurses with great complex needs experience, who will assist Skyler’s family with her care and early intervention. You will be fully engaged with Skyler's daily routine. Skyler requires constant monitoring to ensure her airways remain clear. She needs a regular oropharyngeal suctioning, and oxygen may be needed in an emergency. Up to £40.00 gross per hour depending on experience.  Nights shifts 6.00pm – 6.00am, Day shifts 8.00am – 8.00pm and 5.00pm to 10.00pm. This is a permanent contract for 36-40 hours.

Who this job would suit:
This position will suit an extremely caring, empathetic and experience paediatric nurse, who ideally has experience working in a family home. Skyler is very attached to her parents and you will be very patient and gentle. You will be responsive and attentive at all times to Skyler’s changing needs, and work in a way that respects the wishes of the family in relation to Skyler's care. You will be required to sign up with a nursing agency who manages Skyler’s care package.
